The Yoga Shala’s Vinyasa style & method of Yogasana was created by Jason D Schramm, over the last 25 years. His Vinyasa practice is greatly influenced by the stillness of mind and introspection of Vipassana meditation, the fluid movement synchronized with deep breathing of Tai Chi, the discipline of martial arts, the dynamism and balance between strength and flexibility of Ashtanga & the practical personal development and spirituality of Stoicism.
In The Yoga Shala’s All Levels Vinyasa classes, students are introduced to meditation, deep breathing, fundamental postures and movements with some intermediate/advanced postures peppered in for those students who are ready for more challenging postures and complex combinations of movements (beginners will be given alternatives) providing the opportunity to deepen their concentration, meditation and introspection.
